Helen Guan Qiwen is an associate with Lupi & Associates and specializes in arbitration, dispute resolution and litigation, and corporate, M&A, and commercial in a diverse range of sectors including betting and gaming, consumer and retail, financial services, real estate, and telecom, media entertainment and technology.
Helen is qualified to practice in Macau and Mainland China. In her litigation practice, she represents a wide range of local, Chinese, and international individual and corporate clients, state-owned and private, in their civil, commercial, criminal, and administrative proceedings, including construction, employment, immigration, marriage, and inheritance disputes, and recognition and enforcement of external decisions.
Helen also has broad experience acting on several intellectual property, private equity, investment funds, securities, and debt capital markets. Before joining Lupi & Associates, Helen worked with a Macau local law firm for over seven years, as well as law firms in Guangzhou and Zhuhai where she acquired broad experience on litigation and all the technical aspects of commercial law.
Helen Guan Qiwen holds a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.) from Southwest University of Political Science and Law in Chongqing, China, where she was President of the Model United Nations Programme. She also holds a postgraduate in Introduction to Macau Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau, a Portuguese course from the Portuguese Institute of the Orient (IPOR), and an English Translation Course from the Sichuan International Studies University.
Helen is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, Portuguese, and English.
