Taylor Gomes is a Senior Associate with Lupi & Associates and specializes in arbitration, dispute resolution and civil, criminal and administrative litigation, as well as regulatory and compliance and corporate matters with his practice focused on betting and gaming, government and public, projects and infrastructure, and the sports and entertainment sectors.
He is a certified FIFA Football Agent and regularly acts as an intermediary between football players and clubs handling contract negotiations, transfers, commercial endorsements and career management while also assisting young players entering the professional football system. He is qualified to practice in Macau and a member of the Commission of Public Relations and Marketing of the Macau Lawyers Association.
Prior to joining Lupi & Associates, Taylor Gomes was a lawyer at a leading Macau criminal litigation law firm and private notary office where he represented dozens of clients with their criminal, civil, and administrative matters, and gained extensive experience with Macau’s gaming law by representing casino concessionaires and gaming junket operators with their disputes. Taylor also provided comprehensive legal support to energy, construction, healthcare, and public utilities’ clients, advising on their corporate governance, commercial contracts, labour compliance, and anti-money laundering matters.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (L.L.B) from the Faculty of Law of the University of Macau and three post-graduate legal specializations from the University of Coimbra in forensic law from the Faculty of Law, in corporate law from the Institute of Business and Labor Law, and in banking, securities and insurance law from the Institute of Banking, Securities and Insurance Law. He also holds an international certification in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism from the International Compliance Association (ICA) in Hong Kong, and is currently pursuing a Global Master in International Sports Law at the Institute of Law and Economics (ISDE) in Barcelona, Spain.
Taylor is fluent in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Guinea-Bissau Creole.
